Answer: History is only interesting to the extent that it talks about how we got to now. Only focusing on things that are important in the present day, ignoring what did not lead to today. Falsifies the historical record. A lot of things happened that did not have consequences for the present day, which doesn't mean that it didn't happen or was not important
