Modern psychology is distinguished from philosophy due to its methods, uses techniques of physical sciences, and increased precision and objectivity


The main difference between psychology and philosophy is psychology's use of the scientific method. Philosophy answered the same questions but merely through speculation and thought


philosophy + physiology = psychology
