Equity: a condition in which the outcomes people receive from a relationship are proportional to what they contribute to it

When people perceive inequity, they feel ripped off

When someone exploits another, collective guilt may occur

Equality: the equal distribution of rewards to all individuals

People in collectivist cultures perceive equality as more just than equity
