Answer: The interval of still images is increased to 60 frames per second, so it is closer to reality (which has continuous images). You therefore don't need motion blur. Disadvantages are that it creates higher frame rates, which gives the soap opera effect. Motion is more smooth with higher Hz, but another disadvantage is that it takes more physical film to create.
