classical: a theory that explains how we sometimes learn new responses as a result of two stimuli being present at approximately the same times
operant: A form of learning described by many behaviorists, most notably B.F. Skinner. The central principle is a response is strengthened-and thus is more likely to occur again-when it is followed by a reinforcing stimulus (a reinforcer)
