Are emphysema and bronchiectasis reversible? What are some causes of both conditions?



Answer: Both of these disease are not reversible. Bronchiectasis may be caused by repeated damage to the bronchial wall caused by recurrent airway infections. Emphysema may be caused by long-termed cigarette smoking.
