Despite low oil prices, why do you think the value of Rupee is falling? What implications does this have on economy? Discuss.

Despite low oil prices, why do you think the value of Rupee is falling? What implications does this have on economy? Discuss. In the usual case, high oil prices results in erosion of foreign reserves denominated in dollar and lead to subsequent depreciation of rupee. But recently, even the low prices that creates a situation of less dollars being used for purchase and should have lead to appreciation of rupee is not happening. This is because of the following reason s: • Increase in interest rates by Federal Reserve Bank of US as an indicator of healthy US economy has led to a flight of capital to get better returns • Competitive devaluation by currencies as an outcome of Yuan devaluation • Reduced profits of oil-exporting nations because of low prices have reduced their demand and subsequently Indian exports have come down leading to depreciation in Indian rupee • Low remittances from Gulf nations because Indian Diaspora have lost their jobs resulting in depreciation This ph

Discuss the four distinct roles served by language in international business.

Discuss the four distinct roles served by language in international business. - Communication - How to interpret certain context - Gather information (if we understand the language Eg. If you know Japanese, you can know what they are talking about) - Get a lot of local access (eg. if you can speak Hungarian)

Discuss the international business entity as a change agent.

Discuss the international business entity as a change agent. - Fast food restaurant changed the way Hungarians eat outside the home (vs snacks, sit in proper restaurant)

In order for a business to succeed globally, what three concepts are necessary?

In order for a business to succeed globally, what three concepts are necessary? Need to know what global developments are, make sense of it, adjust to it. We should enhance this answers with our own stuff eg.  Culture, Politics, Law...

How has the role of manufactured goods changed over the course of the last sixty years?

How has the role of manufactured goods changed over the course of the last sixty years? - More fragmented, more places are producing it - Moving from developed countries to developing countries - Marketed globally than domestically Standard manufactured products are getting cheaper and cheaper (vs value of services, which are growing. Services are also being delivered online)

Agile Method Advantages and Disadvantages

Agile Method Advantages and Disadvantages Agile, or adaptive, methods are very flexible and efficient in dealing with change. They are popular because they stress team interaction and reflect a set of community-based values. Also, frequent deliverables constantly validate the project and reduce risk. However, some potential problems exist. For example, team members need a high level of technical and interpersonal skills. Also, a lack of structure and documentation can introduce risk factors. Finally, the overall project may be subject to significant change in scope as user requirements continue to evolve during the project.

RAD Advantages and Disadvantages

RAD Advantages and Disadvantages RAD has advantages and disadvantages compared with traditional structured analysis methods. The primary advantage is that systems can be developed more quickly with significant cost savings. A disadvantage is that RAD stresses the mechanics of the system itself and does not emphasize the company’s strategic business needs. The risk is that a system might work well in the short term, but the corporate and long-term objectives for the system might not be met. Another potential disadvantage is that the accelerated time cycle might allow less time to develop quality, consistency, and design standards. RAD can be an attractive alternative, however, if an organization understands the possible risks.

RAD Objectives

RAD Objectives The main objective of all RAD approaches is to cut development time and expense by involving users in every phase of systems development. Because it is a continuous process, RAD allows the development team to make necessary modifications quickly, as the design evolves. In times of tight corporate budgets, it is especially important to limit the cost of changes that typically occur in a long, drawn-out development schedule. In addition to user involvement, a successful RAD team must have IT resources, skills, and management support. Because it is a dynamic, user-driven process, RAD is especially valuable when a company needs an information system to support a new business function. By obtaining user input from the beginning, RAD also helps a development team design a system that requires a highly interactive or complex user interface.

RAPID APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT

Rapid application development (RAD) is a team-based technique that speeds up information systems development and produces a functioning information system. Like JAD, RAD uses a group approach, but goes much further. While the end product of JAD is a requirements model, the end product of RAD is the new information system. RAD is a complete methodology, with a four-phase life cycle that parallels the traditional SDLC phases. Companies use RAD to reduce cost and development time, and increase the probability of success. RAD relies heavily on prototyping and user involvement. The RAD process allows users to examine a working model as early as possible, determine if it meets their needs, and suggest necessary changes. Based on user input, the prototype is modified and the interactive process continues until the system is completely developed and users are satisfied. The project team uses CASE tools to build the prototypes and create a continuous stream of documentation. More:  JAD Ad

JAD Advantages and Disadvantages

JAD Advantages and Disadvantages : Compared with traditional methods, JAD is more expensive and can be cumbersome if the group is too large relative to the size of the project. Many companies find, however, that JAD allows key users to participate effectively in the requirements modeling process. Read:  What is JAD and how are users involved? What are advantages and disadvantages of JAD? When users participate in the systems development process, they are more likely to feel a sense of ownership in the results, and support for the new system. When properly used, JAD can result in a more accurate statement of system requirements, a better understanding of common goals, and a stronger commitment to the success of the new system. How to solve setup & Hold violations in the design ?

Solve setup & Hold violations in the design :  To solve setup violation 1. optimizing/restructuring combination logic between the flops. 2. Tweak flops to offer lesser setup delay [DFFX1 -> DFFXx]. 3. Tweak launch-flop to have better slew at the clock pin, this  will make CK->Q of launch flop to be fast there by helping fixing  setup violations. 4. Play with skew [ tweak clock network delay, slow-down clock to  capturing flop and fasten. the clock to launch-flop](otherwise called as Useful-skews) . To solve Hold Violations 1. Adding delay/buffer[as buffer offers lesser delay, we go for spl  Delay cells whose functionality Y=A, but with more delay]. 2. Making the launch flop clock reaching delayed. 3. Also, one can add lockup-latches [in cases where the hold time  requirement is very huge, basically to avoid data slip].
